Robin Gelman
Pitcher

Robin Gelman is a pitcher and a first baseman, although occasionally this year she can be found playing second base. She has been with the BarnCats since 1995.

When she is not playing baseball, Robin is a Senior Financial Analyst with Lockheed Martin and a freelance classical musician. Robin plays bassoon with the NIH Philharmonic and the Loudoun County Symphony, and is a member of the woodwind quintet Ensemble a la Carte. Her favorite quote is by Lily Tomlin: "I worry that the person who thought up Muzak may be thinking up something else."

Robin was inducted into the Women’s Baseball Hall of Fame. She won MVP for the BarnCats in 2000 and again in 2005.

Robin is originally from Queens and is still a diehard Yankees fan, although she’ll gladly root against Boston on any bye week.
