The BarnCats Need Your Support. The BarnCats baseball team is a member of the Eastern Women's Baseball Conference. The EWBC is incorporated in the State of Virginia as a non profit, charitable corporation under IRS regulation tax code 501 (C) (3).

The members of our team not only play baseball for their own enjoyment but give freely of their time and money to train younger girls who wish to play our national pastime and play it well. We have trained players in the age group of 8-10, supplied them with equipment, and have seen a number of them progress into players of high caliber, competing against boys of like age and out-performing them.

Each year, we send our best players to baseball tournaments in various parts of the USA. By participating in these tournaments, we encourage younger girls, who come to the games, to try their hand at baseball rather than being shunted to a softball field. Two of our players tried out for their respective high school baseball teams and made the squad, after first being told that they "probably" did not have much of a chance against the boys. Through our efforts, and those of our supporters, we are helping female athletes achieve their baseball goals.

As you might expect, our training effort takes money to accomplish our goals and we encourage you to help us. All contributions sent to us are fully tax deductible and certainly go towards a worthy and healthy cause. We have had more than 20,000 people visit our website. If all visitors had seen fit to send us a donation of just one dollar, we could have done so much more.
